Year 4 Trip to Butser Farm

Year 4 enjoyed a trip down to Butser Ancient Farm in Hampshire to explore their History topic of the Anglo-Saxons.

The girls were amazed to see what it was like inside the recreated houses, learning about the different types of buildings they would have had, as well as how the building of these homes changed over the years – they were even asked to create their own wattle walls!

Archaeologists were born as the girls dug up a range of artefacts made from metals, porcelain and stone. After a fantastic jewellery-making workshop, the girls paraded their creations in a very entertaining fashion catwalk.
