We are delighted to announce that our school and six dedicated staff members have achieved a significant milestone by being awarded the eduCCate Global Bronze Award!
This prestigious recognition serves as a testament to our collective efforts and commitment towards environmental education and sustainability.
The eduCCate Global program is a global initiative designed to empower schools and educators to integrate climate change and sustainability education into their curriculum. It aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to become responsible global citizens and champions of environmental stewardship. We are proud to be part of this inspiring movement and to have been acknowledged for our hard work.
This accomplishment would not have been possible without the relentless dedication and passion of our incredible staff members. Our Sustainability and Climate Literacy lead, Ms Tizzard was joined by team members, Miss Tucker, Mrs Neal, Miss Cooper, Ms Dahmani and Mrs Hulme-McKibbin. Between them they studied modules on; Sustainable Food, Cities and Climate Change, Human Health and Climate Change, Children and Climate Change and Gender and Environment. The wider staff have been involved in developing innovative lesson plans, engaging activities and impactful initiatives that encourage our students to become environmentally conscious individuals. Their enthusiasm and commitment to shaping the next generation of environmental advocates is truly commendable.
Moreover, our students have exhibited remarkable enthusiasm and eagerness to learn about the environment and the steps they can take to create positive change. Their engagement in eco-friendly projects, participation in sustainability-focused events and active involvement in reducing our school’s ecological footprint have played a crucial role in earning this prestigious award. We are extremely proud of their dedication and the values they have demonstrated throughout this journey.
As a school community, we firmly believe in the importance of education in nurturing environmentally responsible citizens. By receiving the eduCCate Global Bronze Award, we have reaffirmed our commitment to fostering a sustainable mindset and empowering our students to be catalysts for positive change. Moving forward, we are determined to build upon this success and further strengthen our commitment to environmental education and sustainability. We will continue to integrate climate change and environmental concepts across different subjects, organise awareness campaigns, and engage in community outreach programs. Together, we will strive to create a greener and more sustainable future for generations to come.
