World Book Day Celebrations

World Book Day Celebrations

We had a busy week celebrating Book Week and World Book Day.

During Book Week, there were lots of fun activities taking place including the Story Box Competition, drop everything and read, masked readers, costume competition and two author visits!

At Ken Prep, we place reading at the heart of our school and Book Week was our opportunity to embrace and indulge our creativity; everyone looked amazing in their costumes and the sense of fun has been palpable – there has been such a vibrant buzz in every corner of the building as we all demonstrated our gratitude for the precious gift of reading.

On Thursday 2 March, World Book Day took place! From Reception all the way to Year 6, everyone dressed up as a stunning book character of their choice. One highlight of this day was the incredible costume competition! Throughout the morning, the class teachers chose one student from each year, to be a winner of the costume competition. Each of the winners received a book voucher to spend. Well done everyone for participating in World Book Day!
