Extended Project Question Launch
We have introduced for Year 6 an 'Extended Project Question' (along similar lines to the A Level Extended Project Qualification).
In Year 6 we have introduced an EPQ (Extended Project Question) where girls research and investigate a topic of their choice, culminating with their independent preparation of a 2,000 word dissertation and an explanatory poster exhibition.
Since February, the girls have completed in depth research on questions which ranged from gendered fashion to 80’s pop music to the link between sports and wellbeing.
At the inaugural Year 6 Extended Project Question Poster Evening girls confidently explained what they had learnt during the EPQ process; the level of conversation between the adults and the girls was impressive. The evening was a lovely event where the school community came together to celebrate Year 6 and their achievements in completing an academically challenging project.
