Art and Design Technology
Specialist teaching in Art begins in Year 2, with pupils engaging in a fully equipped Art Studio designed to nurture their creativity.
Throughout the school, creativity is integrated into the curriculum, ensuring that artistic expression is valued across all subjects. In our Art lessons, sustainability plays a key role, with recycled materials being utilised whenever possible to promote environmentally conscious artistic practices.
Our pupils have the opportunity to explore a wide range of disciplines, including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, textiles and more, while developing a deep appreciation for the creative process.
There is an emphasis on learning the importance and relevance of the visual arts in our modern changing world, and we look predominantly at the inspiration of Female Artists throughout history, including artists working today.
