Kensington Prep’s facilities are some of the best of any prep school in London, providing every pupil with the freedom to grow, discover and thrive.
Our ground-breaking facilities include spacious classroom breakout areas with retractable doors, a high-tech ‘Explore Floor’, an Eco-Greenhouse and a Library that has put reading at the heart of the school. We have specialist Art, Drama, Science, Music and Computing rooms, each designed to inspire our pupils’ curiosity and creativity.

Outdoor play and learning
Kensington Prep is set in over an acre of grounds. Our spacious playground has netball, hockey and tennis courts, a pocket park, and a special tactile sensory surfaced space. It is the perfect space for sports lessons and outdoor learning as well as for playtimes at mid-morning and lunchtime breaks.
Spacious classroom design
Our classrooms are bright and airy. The classroom breakout spaces throughout the school and flexible classroom design mean pupils can work much more independently and together, problem-solving in small groups.
Subject specialist rooms
We have a range of subject specialist teachers as well as form teachers. Specialist subject rooms are fully equipped to complement classroom and outdoor-based learning.
Explore Floor
The spacious Explore Floor has multi-screens and different areas which are perfect for girls to collaborate in small groups for research and project work.
It is a very versatile space – at the flick of a switch with the multi-screens and a ceiling-mounted projector, the room can be converted into an immersive experience, for example, depicting London along the Thames, or a scene from a St Lucian rain forest.
