Our Learning Support team carefully monitors each girl’s progress, and within KS1 (ages four to six), girls are sometimes given additional support in small groups, within the classroom setting. Groups may have extra support in reading, writing or maths, and occasionally 1:1 help is provided.

In KS2 (ages seven to 11), whether showing exceptional aptitude or even the mildest learning difficulty in a particular subject, girls are given additional support within the classroom setting. Small groups may also have extra support in reading, writing, maths or reasoning skills as appropriate; if required, and after discussion with their parents, girls can be referred for 1:1 or small group specialist teaching on-site.

Ken Prep’s success is a result of innovative teaching methods rather than pressure on the girls to succeed.
