We are thrilled to have won the Innovation in Teaching and Learning Award for our Creating Spaces for Growing Minds programme. Mrs Raines, our former Deputy Head, attended the Education Estates Awards Ceremony in Manchester and was presented with the award. Judges praised the design of our powerful new learning spaces, imaginative Explore Floor and spacious classroom breakout spaces.

Mrs Raines was also asked to lead a workshop at the Estates conference explaining the power and benefits of the Creating Spaces for Growing Minds programme with Nick Mirchandani, Director of ArchitecturePLB, the architects involved. Over 40 delegates from the world of education attended.

Our recently completed Creating Spaces for Growing Minds programme transformed Kensington Prep with imaginative new spaces encouraging more independent exploration and collaborative learning.

If that wasn’t enough Kensington Prep also received a commendation in the award category for pupil experience.

Entries for the awards included multi-million pound projects from large institutions including universities and colleges so we are particularly proud to have won against such stiff competition.

New powerful learning spaces include our high-tech Explore Floor, innovative classroom design and spacious breakout spaces.

The Creating Spaces for Growing Minds programme has attracted wide recognition and in 2018 Kensington Prep was awarded the accolade ‘Independent Prep School of the Year‘ by Independent School Parent Magazine.
