New Year, New Dining Hall

New Year, New Dining Hall

We have officially opened the doors to our brand new dining hall, what a fantastic way to start the year!

To mark the occasion, Years 1 to 6 came together in the sunshine for a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Chef Darren doing the honour. It was a very happy occasion, marked by plenty of smiles, excitement, and cheering.

The new colour scheme of muted green and purple is inspired by the suffragette movement, a theme that runs through other areas of the school as well.

There’s now a variety of seating options to suit everyone – from comfy benches and stylish new chairs to the much-loved booths, which are a special privilege for our Year 6 girls. Unsurprisingly, the booths have quickly become a favourite!

You might also notice the ‘skylights’ in the ceiling, featuring images of blue skies and trees that bring a touch of the outdoors inside. This nature-inspired theme continues with delicate line drawings of wildflowers decorating the walls.

Beyond its fresh new look, the redesigned layout has made a real difference to the lunchtime experience. The improved flow allows the girls to enjoy their meals in a more relaxed setting. It’s so important that they have the chance to sit down, unwind with friends, and recharge before their afternoon lessons.
