Author in Residence
Great to welcome back our Author in Residence, Helen Peters to share with girls her inspiration for her stories.
The girls in Yrs1-6 have been enjoying three of Helen’s wonderful books: An owl called Star, The Secret Hen House Theatre and Evie’s Ghost. In each of Helen’s sessions, she shared the inspiration for the story, what information she needed to research, and what her writing and editing process was. The girls then posed very thoughtful and insightful questions about the books they had read. It is wonderful that the girls have this opportunity to engage in ongoing learning with Helen and we look forward to her return in March for World Book Day.
