Congratulations to the ten girls in Year 6 and one in Year 5 who were particularly high scorers and selected to go through to the Bonus Round to compete with other children worldwide which is a great achievement.*
The Primary Mathematics Challenge is a fun and exciting mathematical challenge designed to make pupils think outside the box. The questions asked are not necessarily subjects that have been covered in the curriculum and not heavily reliant on formal mathematical knowledge, but can be solved by logical reasoning.
Well done girls!
*sadly it has subsequently been announced that the Bonus Round this year will no longer be taking place due to Covid restrictions.
