Martin Luther King Day
This week we marked Martin Luther King Day in our assembly and his inspirational speech ‘I had a Dream’.
In our assembly we considered whether change can come about peacefully, inspired by love. When people refuse to listen, when people refuse to take action, when people refuse to change, is love enough? Someone who believed in the power of peaceful protest and the power of love was Dr Martin Luther King Jr whose birthday we marked on Monday (the Monday nearest 15th January is marked in America as Martin Luther King Day).
