We’ve welcomed back Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 girls this week as part of the school’s phased re-opening.
The school remained opened for the daughters of our key worker parents during the lockdown and it’s been a joy to see them now joined by Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 as they have skipped back into school. In response to the Government and Public Health England Guidelines, we have been able to welcome back these girls to the school site, although under very different circumstances! We’re very grateful to parents for working so closely with us to ensure that all the procedures have gone so very smoothly as we adapt to our ‘new normal’ school environment. They have certainly proved themselves to be resilient, adaptable and positive in embracing of all the changes!
Our comprehensive and engaging online guided home learning programme – welcomed by parents and girls alike – continues for the other years. It covers all the academic subjects as well as IT, music, sport, drama and outdoor learning. Girls enjoy weekly assemblies, story book readings and meet up with their teachers online too.
We are overwhelmed by the creativity, diversity and sheer quality of the work that girls are achieving. Keep up the truly amazing work we’re so proud of you all!
