Natural History Museum

Year 3 had the “best school trip ever” they said this week! To support last term’s ‘moving and growing’ topic, the girls explored the museum’s collection of skeletons of various animals and used their knowledge of the human skeleton to make comparisons between them.

The Investigate Lab gave the girls a chance observe, draw and take measurements of an unknown specimen of their choosing in an attempt to determine what they has selected. The Variety Show with its 3D glasses, true-to-life size Giant Squid model, Miss Tucker’s suitcase (and snake) which touched on classification was a great introduction to this topic in Year 4.
